Hey! My name is David Westman and I'm from Kanata, Ontario. I'm 19 and currently in my first year at the University of Ottawa for International Development and Globalization. I have a huge passion for kids and for Africa, and when I saw this contest I got mad flippin excited! My heart is for helping people who don't have basics like food or water. I've learned so much at school, and now I'm burning to put all this head knowledge into action on a global scale. I want to seek justice and i want to show compassion. It just burns inside me, its crazy. I know my actions won't change the entire world, but I know they have the power to change the world for one person. And that makes pouring your heart and soul into loving other people worth it. Its inspiring to see young people fight injustice. We're better together, and together we will bring world hunger to end. Thanks so much for this sweet opportunity to express my passion! Last summer i went to this camp in Alberta put on by the United Nations, and I met this girl named Leah Thygsen. She's got such a mad passion for helping people, and she's done some incredible things in her community.
